It is my feeling that the Spring and Autumn Tourney should include weapons.
In particular I was interested in including sword and knife.
However, as the emphasis is upon defence I would say there will be no knife on knife combat. Purely unarmed versus knife. This would serve as a wake up call for all those who profess to have knife defence skills.
With the sword, this might be a mixture of sword versus sword and sword versus unarmed.
I would be interested in any of your thoughts or comments.

Well after discussions with members we will kick off the weapons rounds in the coming winter tourney in December 2008.
The weapon involvement will be restricted to the so called 'you looking at me rounds'. The armed person will begin with a set attack for the opponent to work from. After the initial attack, as with the unarmed ruling in this section, the round will develop free from constraint.
Unless suitable safety weapons are utilised contact will be restricted to some degree;
Your thoughts on rulings here!
For the adults we might want to continue the dog bros route of full contact with protective head gear!
Let me know
